Ireland

Ireland is an island off the west coast of the U.K., separated by the Irish Sea and the North and St. George Channels

The Irish are very experienced at the tourist trade and aren't above playing up the crowd pleasers: women playing the harp, medieval banquets and even Irish dancing.

But if you get away from the popular tourist areas, you'll find that the charm doesn't end. Even in the most out-of-the-way pub you're likely to find someone playing an accordion or fiddle or simply singing with no accompaniment at all.

Over the past few years, Ireland has become one of the hot spots in Europe. People are flocking to Ireland because of the charm, scenery, unique culture and the fantastic golf courses.

No matter when you visit, a light raincoat or windbreaker is essential, and you'll need a sweater and a coat, especially at night.
