Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates and is located on the Persian Gulf between Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The Prime Minister of Dubai has said "In the race for excellence, there is no finish line" - This phrase truly encapsulates what Dubai has become.

Often described as a city of contrasts, Dubai offers sunny beaches, five-star services, legendary hotels, vibrant shopping centers and gleaming skyscrapers.

Dubai has a sub-tropical, arid climate. It is warm and sunny without being unbearably hot and the nights are cooler.

Now since Dubai is a Muslim country, bikinis, swimsuits, shorts and revealing tops should be confined to beach resorts. Women are usually advised not to wear short skirts and to keep their shoulders covered. It should be known, however, that Dubai is the most liberal of the Emirates.

It is expanding at a dizzying pace in order to reach the top position among other global destinations.

Billions of dollars have funded Dubai's breath-taking architectural structures, including the world's tallest building at 160 stories, the Burj Dubai.

Among the mind-blowing architectural structures is the Palm Islands, palm-tree shaped islands, which can be seen from space.

Dubai also features the world's largest indoor ski-resort, allowing you to lounge on the beach and ski in the same day.
