Juneau

The city of Juneau is located on the Gastineau Channel in the panhandle of Alaska. The area of Juneau is larger than the state of Rhode Island.

Downtown Juneau sits at sea level, below steep mountains. In fact, Juneau is the only state capital in the United States that can't be reached over land --- you fly in or you sail in, but you can't actually drive in.

If you like outdoor adventure you will love Alaska. Juneau offers so much to see and do whether you are making it your final destination or just making a port call on your cruise vacation.

Peak Season runs May thru Sept. But May & June are the driest months.Alaska is a place you need to dress in layers --- mornings & evenings can be significantly cooler than the daytime high.
