It's that time of year... when most of us are watching what we eat and thinking about having to get into a bathing suit for Summer. But it can be hard if you're always on the go.
Whether you're a die- hard fitness fanatic or just a casual exerciser - you might think it's hard to keep up your routine when you're confined to a hotel room.
But these days there are plenty of ways to stay fit when you're on the road.
Whether you're in a city for business or pleasure... what better way to get to see the sites - than by going for a walk. Get a hotel staff member to recommend a route that takes you into a funky neighbourhood or a nearby park.
Some hotels even provide maps of walking and jogging routes complete with mileage markings. All you have to do is ask.
Use the knowledge you have from previous routines to be your own instructor - in your hotel room. It's pretty easy to get down on the floor and do a few crunches, pushups, squats or tricep dips.
You can always bring along your own equipment too. Obviously, ten pound dumbbells aren't the best thing to travel with... but a resistance band or skipping rope is easy to pack "and" easy to use in your room.
If you enjoy working out at home to fitness videos, you might be able to get a similar workout in your room. The pay-per-view systems in most hotels now offer exercise programs on their menus.
Of course, there's always the hotel gym. But if you're hotel is smaller and doesn't have one... check to see if it has a partnership with a nearby fitness facility. There's a chance you can get a guest pass for the length of your stay.
There you have it... It's pretty easy to stay fit on the road. So no excuses!
